Tib told me through the chat a while ago to write Haruhi/Cthulhu fan fiction, and instead of wimping out I decided to save face and give it ago. The greatest thing is that it's not too far fetched for this kind of story to really be considered as an addition to the universe. I even found a span of time not actually covered in any of the books to place it in.
I tried to write as much like Tanigawa as I could, but compared to his writing I'm afraid I'm a bit long-winded. The dialogue he writes tends to leave a lot to the imagination where as I became very focused on having the characters explain the science behind the fiction.
Anyway, here's the link:
The Dark Times of Haruhi Suzumiya
I worked for three nights, and got nine pages in, but I'm not sure I can take it anymore. It'll probably just go unfinished. But it's fan-fiction. Fuck it. :sunny:
