Cannon Fodder.
Lead a big head squad of four guys to kill who knows who and watch as your little guys with names die for who knows what.

That looks insane. It reminds me of older command and conquer games.

I game I know of but most of the people I know haven't heard of is Drake of the 99 dragons. My expectations of the game were not high to begin with but it managed to disappoint me even more. The gameplay was sub par at best and the story I didn't even understand.

I found a video of it...
[apparently I'm not allowed to post links since I'm new, or there would be one here]
It's trying way too hard to be the The Matrix video game...
The camera angling is atrocious and the visuals are really lacking, but you know, I bet this game would wrap around the scale of terrible experiences and become something fun just because of how little effort went into it's creation.
For some reason I was reminded of one map in Red Alert 2 where you could destroy the bridge that let the enemy into the rest of the map. So as long as you could keep your flak cannons healthy you never had to worry about their air force, and you could just run the map until you were ready to off them.Bayushi Dave wrote:

I'll post the next game:
I recently played Analogue: A Hate Story, and it basically blew my mind.
I was kind of hesitant to try it at first because it's cleverly disguised as a visual novel, and visual novels tend to be overtly sexual in nature. But after I booted it up for the first time I found that it had more in common with an adventure or mystery game, ala Myst.

In it you play a space-salvager who is contracted to recover the data-links from an abandoned Korean colony ship that's floating around in space. After connecting to and booting up the ships computers, you meet it's AI, who helps you navigate through the confusing stacks of emails sent between members of the ship's crew. The story is about you getting to know the two AI's on the ship while trying to figure out why everyone died.
I mainly like the game because of the quality of it's writing, and the immersive gameplay, but it's also got really memorable music. At times it can get a little slow, especially at the beginning when you're not sure what you're walking into, but it picks up after the hook. Another problem I have with it is the fact that the romantic aspects feel really forced, as if they were put in as an afterthought, but from other angles it almost seems as though they were included so as to shine a light on the stupid simplicity of most modern love stories.

One game you may or may no have heard of is Voxatron
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_q-xqI8Cm5A
This game was originally debuted in a Humble Bundle, along with some other cool games I can't remember.
In this game you play a little grey robot which shoots things with his fists or guns or something. There's no real story behind this game it's just good old shooty action, There's a pre made adventure mode in which you go through dungeons and shoot things, and then there's arcade mode where you play through levels other people have created. Also the death animation is so cool, blowing up and destroying everything is rather satisfying.

I remember watching a youtuber who ran commentary on that game while he went through user-created levels. I'm always hesitant to try games that promote user-created content; I remember about a month ago when my friends and I were trying to find something fun to play in Little Big Planet, and cycling through shitty prize-grab after shitty prize-grab...
This game has a cool graphical style though. I love the use of 3d against the super simple designs.
